Google Indoor 3D Sensors & Computer Vision for Indoor Mapping Project Tango, ATAP

Google just announced Project Tango as part of its Advanced Technology and Projects (ATAP) hardware group. Tango is Google's next-generation mapping tool that will revolutionize the indoor mapping and location industry. ATAP is headed by Regina Dugan, a former DARPA director who joined Google in 2012.

Find out more what Google is up to and the 15 companies you need to know (including Apple, of course) that are paving the way for indoor 3D in our latest report! Google envisions the following examples: “What if you never found yourself lost in a new building again? What if directions to a new location didn’t stop at the street address?”  We say, imagine wearing Google Glass and be able to visualize indoor navigation in real 3D!
