Target launches iBeacons in Stores and App

IndoorLBS.com has revealed that Target is soon launching iBeacons nationwide. The Target App recently updated in the Apple App Store is already iBeacon enabled. The user experience will be amazing - shopping list will be mapped on your smartphone with your current location in the store. A "shopping path" will be displayed on the map for the best way to get around the store for what you need. Screenshots below show the Store Map (powered by Point Inside) that is searchable for products down to the aisle level. The settings screen shows user will have the ability to "opt-in" to in-store messaging enabled by iBeacons and Target's CRM system.
