metaio Junaio supports indoor location

metaio has launched an updated version of its open Augmented Reality (AR) iPhone and mobile web browser junaio and offers new features, including indoor usage.

Junaio 2.0 outdoes its competition by rolling out a new "indoor location function" that combines GPS and compass-based geo-information with the new LLA-marker-technology. By combining GPS- and compass-based geo-information with the so called, patent-pending LLA-marker (longitude, latitude, altitude) technology, users now can experience AR inside buildings. So in a museum, for example, a user could point their camera at the information board next to an exhibit and get the information on their phone.
